Denim Days Is Coming Home
Denim Days is like my mistress – she is the greyhound that I secretly think about when I’m petting my own. She caught my attention many months ago when Heather and I were in Birmingham to pick up dogs from Fishdog Kennels. When I opened her crate she bounded toward me and started covering me [...]

Bunny schooled again on Thursday. She didn’t exactly burn up the track on her first schooling race, so I anxiously and excitedly pulled up the schooling results on Friday morning. Ah Echo. My little lure coursing machine. I often tell Ken that she’s my once in a lifetime dog. I don’t know that I’ll ever have the good fortune to own a dog like her. Natural ability, sound build, nice feet and the heart of a champion. She has brought me to tears more than [...]

With the sadness of losing Bodhi, I haven’t wanted to do much of anything. I’d already entered Bodhi and Echo in the SEGC’s Run for Rescue and Southern Turf Classic March 21-22 and I contemplated scrapping the whole weekend and just staying home. But, thanks to Ken’s encouragement (sometimes he knows what I need more [...]

Yesterday was the pup draw for the Dave the Dog x Flying Tan Time litter in which we own one puppy. There were 8 puppies, with the A pup already given to the previous owner of Tan Time as part of her sale to Team Greyhound. The pup draw is done randomly…the owners who have purchased [...]

Few things in life are better than being surrounded by a happy, balanced pack of greyhounds. No government bailouts, no urgent emails, no ringing phone or dinging text messages. Just peace and quiet and wagging tails and puppy dog kisses…
