Welcome to our little corner of universe where we share our lives with 12 retired racing greyhounds, one staghound, four cats and two rabbits. (But who’s counting?) We met on a greyhound discussion forum, fell in love, and got married. What bonded us so quickly and so deeply was our passion for our greyhounds. Heather had two greyhounds – Haley and Hanna. Ken had four greyhounds – Caesar, Annie, Prajna, and Harmony. We were both volunteering with our local greyhound adoption groups – Heather in North Carolina and Ken in Maryland.
Then lots of stuff happened and voila – Greyhound Freaks!
I often wonder what people must think about us “crazy greyhound people.” When asked, I only have one answer: greyhounds give us love in a way that no other animal seems to be able to. They look into our eyes and genuinely see our soul. And in return they share their own. They are our addiction.
The highs and the lows, the pee and the poop, the tail wags and the lip curls, the joy and the sorrow…we aim to share it all with you. Plus we feature great (and not so great) greyhound buys, news and whatever strikes our fancy as it pertains to life in the servitude of greyhounds. So visit us often and share your thoughts. Our pack is your pack. And if you have a question or two (for us or the dogs), send it along and we’ll do our best to post an answer in true greyhound fashion. (Meaning, whenever we get up from our nap.)
